How??

Have you ever wondered how data are input, processed, stored and output as information in a computer?
Below is a small block diagram to show it

                                Input devices
                           (Mouse, keyboard)

Central Processing Unit (CPU)                                              Output devices
                                                                                                                    (Monitor, printer)

Main memory (RAM)         Secondary storage devices
                                                       (Hard disk)

1.       All the data are entered into the CPU via input devices. i.e. mouse, keyboard.
2.       The data are processed by CPU and send to the main memory for temporary storage.
3.       The data are sent to output devices and displayed through them. i.e. printer
4.       The data can be stored in secondary storage devices on the command of CPU. i.e. hard disk
